Ioannis Litos, Financial Analyst in a Ship Management Company, MSc in Shipping and Logistics from the University of Piraeus, MSc in Accounting and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business Our trainer is a highly experienced professional with over 15 years in the shipping industry. During his career, he has worked as an accountant in MGA, D/A’s and Greek Accounting departments. He currently holds the position of senior financial analyst in a large traditional Greek Shipmanagement company. His main responsibilities cover the fields of feasibility studies for potential vessel acquisition, budget compilation and budget monitoring of company’s fleet operating cost, voyage report analysis, lending proposal appraisal, negotiation – communication with international banks. He is responsible for various projects of his company such as the implementation and the upgrade of a new ERP system and the “communication” channel between his company and the external auditors. Through all the above he has gained an in depth knowledge of accounting and financial procedures and an excellent understanding of financial audit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Shipping from the University of Piraeus, a MSc in Shipping and Logistics from the University of Piraeus, a MSc in Accounting and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business and he is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
